　　Currently,somecitiesareconsideringafoodbanonsubways,whichhassparkedheateddiscussion.Somepeoplesayfoodshouldbebannedbecauseofthetrashandratstheyattract.And,garbagefromdiscardedfoodcancausetrackfires.Beyondsanitaryandmechanicalconcerns,foodcanalsocausefights,aswasdiscoveredlastweekbyonepassengerwhocriticizedawomaneatingsteamedstuffedbunonthesubway.

　　However,someothersareopposedtotheidea.Theyarguethatpeoplelikeeatinginthetraininthemorningbecausetheydon'thaveenoughtimetoeatattheirhousesorrestaurants.Sometimesthatmaybetheonlytimeormealatransitridermaybeabletoeatespeciallywhentravelinglongdistances.Besides,therearepeople,forexamplediabetics,whodorequirefoodatvarioustimestomaintainblood-sugarlevels.
